Most cleaners use “Friction and Foam.” They spray a soap, scrub it, and wipe it. In Erie, where the dust is made of jagged silica (microscopic glass shards) from construction, “Friction” means you are essentially sandpapering your brand-new countertops and floors.
Suspension Chemistry is the art of using the right pH and surfactants to “lift” the particle off the surface and hold it in a liquid bubble (suspension) before the cloth ever touches it.
We use Bio-Surfactants (derived from plants like soapberry or alkyl polyglucosides from coconut/sugar).
The Physics: These molecules have a “head” that loves water and a “tail” that loves oil/dirt.
The Process: We mist the surface with our “Fresh Chemistry” base. The “tails” grab the silica and lift it up. Because we mix it fresh, the molecules are at peak energy. They create a microscopic “cushion” between the grit and your stone or wood. We then “lift” the suspension away with high-GSM microfiber rather than “scrubbing” it in.
