Short-Term Rental Turnover Cleaning From Black Hawk to Evergreen

STR turnover cleaning for vacation rentals across Black Hawk, Nederland, Evergreen, and the canyon corridor. Bellas Mountain Vacation Cleaning has been turning over mountain Airbnbs since 2016.

What Is STR Turnover Cleaning?

Short-term rental turnover is the cleaning that happens between guests. It’s not a standard house cleaning. It’s a reset.I strip every bed and remake it with fresh linens. I restock toilet paper, soap, and coffee. I check every drawer and closet for left behind items. I wipe down every surface, scrub every bathroom, and photograph the condition before the next guest arrives.STR turnover is about making the property look like no one has ever stayed there. Every time.

What Is STR Turnover Cleaning?

Bed stripping and remaking: Fresh sheets on every bed, folded towels, backup sets staged in the linen closet.Kitchen reset: Dishes washed and put away, coffee maker wiped down, counters cleared and sanitized, restocked soap and paper towels.Bathroom sanitization: Shower and tub scrubbed, toilet cleaned inside and out, mirrors streak free, trash emptied.Trash and recycling: All bins emptied, bags replaced, taken to outdoor receptacles.Surface wipe down: Nightstands, dressers, desks, window sills, baseboards, light switches.Left behind check: Drawers, closets, under beds, behind furniture.Photo documentation: Condition photos for the host (optional but recommended).Maintenance flagging: Leaky faucets, broken locks, burned out bulbs, or damage reported immediately.

Mountain STR Challenges

Mountain properties face challenges most cleaners never think about.

Altitude dust: Road grit and silica dust travel uphill. It settles on windowsills, baseboards, and bathroom vents. If you wipe it with a dry cloth, it becomes airborne again. I wet it with microfiber and rinse the cloth between passes.

Mud season: April and May bring tracked in grit from thawed roads. It stains entryway floors and carpets if not caught early. I check thresholds first.

Wildfire ash: After fire season, fine ash settles on outdoor decks, patio furniture, and indoor surfaces near windows. It’s not dust. It’s particulate. I use HEPA extraction, not sweeping.

Well water and septic: Some cabins have sulfur smell in the water. Some have septic systems that can’t handle bleach. I know which houses have which, and I adjust products accordingly.

Turnover Timing

Most STR turnovers happen on a tight schedule. Guest checks out at 11am. Next guest arrives at 4pm. That’s a five hour window.I don’t cut corners to beat the clock. I work efficiently because I know the property. After a few turns, I know where the extra sheets are, which bathroom drain clogs, and which door sticks.

If a property needs more time than the window allows, I’ll tell you. I won’t rush and leave something behind.

Communication With Hosts

I send a message after every turnover. It includes Condition of the property when I arrived.

Any maintenance issues flagged.

Photos if requested.

Confirmation that the property is guest ready.

If something is wrong, you’ll know before the next guest walks in. Not after.

This Is What I Do

That’s the Bellas Mountain Vacation Cleaning approach to STR turnover. Mountain property expertise. Guest focused execution. The details most cleaners skip because they’ve never run a mountain Airbnb themselves.

I’ve been turning over short-term rentals in the canyon corridor since 2016. I know which driveways ice over. I know which neighborhoods have spotty WiFi. I know how to get to a property when GPS sends you to the wrong logging road.

The hard water that etches glass. The ash that hides in vents.

The cross-contamination that happens when crews use the same rag house to house.
