Coal Creek Canyon is its own world. A ribbon of ranches and mountain homes tucked into the mountains west of Golden, off the road everyone takes to get to Nederland. I’ve been driving this canyon since 2016. The dirt roads that turn to ruts in April. The driveways that need shoveling first in December. I know them. That is exactly why I will tell you when the road is not safe. Knowing a road well is how you know when to stay off it.
I clean mountain homes here, plus a handful of vacation rental turnovers along the way. Weekenders. Second-home owners. Families. One person shows up and does the whole job. Me.
The dust blows through in February in a way flatland folks don’t expect. I know where it settles. I know which houses have well water and which run septic. I adjust my products for that. No bleach near a septic system.
Call or Text and I show up on the day we set, at the time we set.
I know the Coal Creek rhythm. The weekender who comes up on Fridays.
The guest who stays the season. The owner who needs the house reset before family arrives.
I hit the baseboards. The window tracks. The inside of the microwave.
The spot behind the stove where grease collects.
I don't move furniture. What I can reach without moving it, I clean.
I HEPA-vacuum. I extract dust. I don't sweep it into the air you breathe.
I turn over rentals and family cabins all along the canyon.
I wash every sheet. I make every bed. I fold every towel. I check the remote, the coffee maker, the shower drain.
Coal Creek guests come for the quiet and the dark sky. They notice the details.
I clean for reviews that mention "spotless" and "ready for us."
Owners can add co-hosting: guest communication, calendar and cleaner scheduling,
listing upkeep, and emergency response. It runs 10-20% of booking revenue depending on scope.
I clean the place before you unpack, or after the last tenants hand it back.
The cabinet interiors. The oven. The window tracks where a canyon winter collects.
I take before and after pictures. That's what gets deposits returned.
Castile soap. Alcohol. Essential oils. Norwex microfiber cloths.
No bleach. No ammonia. Vinegar and borax are available on request.
I bring everything. You don’t buy supplies. Norwex microfiber on glass and granite.
No lint. No streaks.
I color-code rags. Kitchen first. Bathroom last.
That order matters more than speed.
– Dirt roads and ruts. Spring turns the driveways to mud. I clean for what comes indoors.
– Dust that blows through in February. I know where it settles. I find it.
– Septic and well water. I don’t dry-dust, I wet-lock. No bleach near septic. I know the difference.
– Wildfire smoke. A season of smoke settles in the filters and vents. I check. I replace when asked.
– Altitude. Products dry differently up here. I adjust.
A guest checks out at 11. The next arrives at 4. In between:
– We clean, restock, and reset
– We stage for photos and first impressions
– We catch maintenance issues before they become complaints
– We coordinate with your calendar, your lockbox, your preferences
You get reviews that mention the clean and “thoughtful touches.”
Your property stays booked. Your phone stays quiet.
Knowing these roads is not the same as being willing to drive them in anything. I have been driving them since 2016, so I know which ones clear first, which ones need chains, and which ones turn to ice in the shade and stay that way. So on the days the road is genuinely bad, I will not come up. I will call you and we will move the visit. There is no cancellation fee and no trip charge, and there is none if you are the one who calls it. If you look at your driveway and you do not want anybody driving it, tell me. I am not going to talk you out of it. I would rather reschedule than pretend the road is fine.
No. Most owners give secure access. I treat the property like my own.
Yes. Coffee, toilet paper, soaps. You leave items out or tell me where they are.
I never use bleach near a septic system. I know which houses run septic and adjust.
